as Designers
About MTD
The pace of change in the economy, society and technology, is demanding teachers, to cope with complex problems in their everyday practice and therefore they require new set of skills, such as innovation, empathy, design, creativity, problem solving, co-creation. Hence, teacher need to develop new competences and ways of thinking to be able to face those new educational challenges, among the approaches that have been found relevant to cope with the new teaching and learning scenarios is the incorporation of design in the educational field, in other words, seen the teaching practice as a design profession. A key element of this transformation of teachers becoming teachers as designers (TasD) is to work on their mindset, a mindset that makes them capable of addressing multi-faceted problems.
