
Project description
The key element of this transformation of teachers becoming teachers as designers (TasD) is towork on their mindset. Therefore, this project aims to generate creative ideas to support teachersto transform their way of thinking.
Moreover, the project aims to create a teacher as designer mindsets framework to provide acomplete picture of the role of teachers as designers within VET, which has been co-designed withteachers from Denmark, Spain, and Finland.
Impact
The overall impact of the project is that teachers from the VET sector become teachers as designers (TasD).This approach establishes a turning point in which teachers become designers of new skills for theirstudents like creative thinking, problem-solving skills, collaboration, and innovation, as well as contents that respond to the actual learning needs their students face. This will directly
impact society and its progress , because education is a key factor in social inclusion, eliminating gaps between people fromdifferent socioeconomic, cultural, and geographic groups.
Additionally, the project approaches the digital education shift as a broader metacognitive capacity ofteachers to constantly learn and adapt and adopt to the technological changes. A design perspective willfoster teachers’ capacities to integrate technology and generate technology based educational innovation.
